◎简　　介　

　　奥秘宅邸的仆人莱昂内尔·吐温（杜鲁门·卡波特 Truman Capote饰）约请五位天下著名的侦察来到古堡列席一场奥秘的晚宴。他们别离是纽约专业侦察迪克·查尔斯顿（大卫·尼文 David Niven饰），比利时侦察米洛·比埃尔（詹姆斯·可可 James Coco饰），上海检查员西德尼·王（彼得·塞勒斯 Peter Sellers饰），英国人杰西卡·马波尔（爱尔莎·兰切斯特 Elsa Lanchester饰）蜜斯和来自旧金山的萨姆·戴蒙德（彼得·法尔克 Peter Falk饰）。没人晓得此次凶恶异常的邀约背后到底隐藏着什么样的杀机，但这五位侦察们还是各自带上一位支属或朋友来到了这座奥秘的宅邸。但是莱昂内尔并没有现身，期待他们的是连续串被经心设想过的谋杀事务。
