　　法国影片《冒险的价格》首要描写了某电视台为了吸引观众，进步收视率，别开生面的搞了一个“有奖冒险”节目，以高达两百万美圆的奖金来勾引人们用自己贵重的生命去做为赌注。失业青年弗朗索瓦不愿再过着贫困的生活，掉臂女友拉萨的否决，执意报名加入了“有奖冒险”。他荣幸的在初赛“空中摆擂”中得胜，获得了作为“流亡者”参赛的资历。在节目中他屡次获得了陌生人的帮助，才临时回避了五名追杀者的追捕。但当他从节目制片罗朗斯的口中得知那些陌生人都是电台成心放置为的只是能使节目能播放4小时，他终极将会被追杀者杀死的时辰，他终究大白“有奖冒险”只是个圈套。为了向观众们公布究竟的真相，弗朗索瓦在杀死了几名追杀者后，持枪来到了电视直播现场，但期待着他的是被送入疯人院的终局。
