◎简　　介

　　1798，法國陸軍軍官奧古斯丁上尉受命伴随出色的畫家帕拉迪斯到撒哈拉沙漠勘查地形並作畫紀錄，當時正值拿破崙企圖將埃及納入法國版圖。                                       
                                    旅程中，法國軍隊忽然遭到一支埃及騎兵團的突擊，雙方展開一場剧烈的殊死戰，廝殺正酣之際，一場沙漠風暴天鋪地般的襲來，風暴將兩軍的隊伍吹散了，奧古斯丁與帕拉迪斯就這樣與原來的隊伍分開了。站在荒涼貧瘠的沙漠裡，缺水斷糧且不知歸鄉路的情形讓帕拉迪斯的精神崩潰而選擇自殺一途，留下奧古路斯丁一個獨自面對無垠的沙漠，頹喪的奧古斯丁在意識不清的情況下出错掉入峽谷裡，生命弥留的他，臉上微微感应暖暖的鼻息，用盡最後的气力睜開雙眼，出現在眼前的竟是一隻豹，最出人料想的是這隻豹子居然救了奧古斯丁一命，從未謀面的豹子竟恰似熟人一般地照顧他，帶領他熟悉沙漠的生活，教導他若何在沙漠裡保存，兩人幾乎像親人一樣地相依為命。讓奧古斯丁見識到沙漠的偉大與造物...
